Experienced. Fair. Dedicated to Justice.

For over 15 years, Lance J. Hendron has been a trusted advocate in Nevada’s criminal justice system — representing individuals, standing up for constitutional rights, and serving the community with integrity and compassion. Now, he’s ready to bring that same dedication to the Henderson Justice Court as a candidate for Justice of the Peace.

A Proven Legal Background

Lance is the founder of Hendron Law Group, LLC, where since 2008 he has represented clients in complex criminal matters in both state and federal courts. He has been appointed to the Federal Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panel for the U.S. District Court, District of Nevada, defending individuals in serious federal cases. His years of courtroom experience have earned him a reputation as a sharp, ethical, and compassionate attorney who believes that every person deserves to be treated with dignity and fairness before the law.

As a Small Claims Referee and Pro Tempore Judge for the Las Vegas Justice Court (2015–2022), Lance presided over cases with a steady hand, ensuring that justice was not just swift — but fair. That judicial experience, combined with his deep understanding of the law, has prepared him to serve the people of Henderson with the temperament, knowledge, and independence the bench demands.

Education & Qualifications

Lance earned his Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California, where he distinguished himself as an honors student and recipient of multiple academic awards, including the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Legal Advocacy and Family Law.

He is a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Computer Applications and remains an active member of the Notre Dame Hispanic Alumni community.

Lance is licensed to practice before all Nevada State Courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Service Beyond the Courtroom

Lance believes that real justice extends beyond the courtroom. He has devoted countless hours to community service and legal leadership:

  • President (2015–2017) and long-time Executive Board Member of the Nevada Attorneys for Criminal Justice (NACJ)

  • Life Member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL)

  • Pro Bono Advisory Council Member with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, helping ensure access to justice for those who can’t afford it

  • Volunteer Judge for We the People, mentoring students in civic education and constitutional law

  • Volunteer with The Just One Project and Shine a Light Foundation, serving the unhoused and underserved populations of Southern Nevada

Lance was also appointed as the inaugural representative for the Clark County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC), where he worked collaboratively with law enforcement, judges, and attorneys to improve efficiency and fairness in the criminal justice system.

A Vision for Henderson Justice Court

Lance Hendron’s campaign for Justice of the Peace in Henderson is built on one promise:
to uphold the law with fairness, compassion, and common sense.

He understands that the Justice Court is often where citizens first encounter the legal system. His goal is to ensure that every person — regardless of background — is treated with respect and that every case is heard with patience, balance, and an unwavering commitment to justice.

Lance’s experience on both sides of the bench gives him the insight to know that justice isn’t about politics — it’s about people.

A Steady Hand. A Fair Mind. A Judge for Henderson.

Lance J. Hendron has spent his career defending the rights of Nevadans, mentoring young people, and giving back to his community. As a Justice of the Peace, he will bring that same dedication, fairness, and deep respect for the rule of law to the people of Henderson.
